Entries
Submitted works must enter into one the following categories of Visual art Painting/Drawing, Sculpture, Ceramics, Photography, Graphic/Media Art, Textile and Installation Art. Deadline for Submissions of entries: 6th of April, 2009. Artist whose artworks are selected will be contacted to submit the actual artwork. Works not received on or before the deadline will not be accepted. The decision of the juries as far as selections are concerned is final and cannot be appealed.
Eligibility
All artists aged 35 and below residing and studying/working in Nigeria for at least 5 years are eligible to participate. Entries should reach the collection centres not later than 6th of April 2009.

Liabilities
Artist will be responsible for conveying their selected works to and from the collection centres. Artists whose works are selected for the second stage will be informed on the 27th of April by phone or e-mail. They will then proceed to bring the selected works to the collection centres nearest to them.
Transport of works selected for the Grand Final, from the zonal centres to Enugu and back, will be the responsibility of the organizers. Artist are advised to insure their works where possible. Works that may soil the exhibition halls or may be too bulky to be transported from the zonal centres to Enugu will not be considered.
SELECTION PROGRESS
First Stage
A maximum of 15 entries will be selected by the jury at each collection centre. Not more than one artwork per artist may be selected.
Second Stage
The stage of the contest will feature a week exhibition of short listed works which will take place between the 4th and 22nd of may 2009 at the following zonal centres: Alliance Francaise Enugu, Ibadan Branch of Alliance Francaise Lagos, Alliance Francaise Kaduna, Alliance Francaise Port-Harcourt. At the end of the second stage a jury will select 15 works from each zonal centre for the grand finale.
Grand Finale/Award Night
Grand finale: Mon 22nd - Sat 27th June 2009 at Enugu.

Award Night: 27th of June 2009
The jury will made up of the representative of Alliance Francaise and six other professional artist/art administrators/patrons will select the prize winners.
